Kentucky Bourbon Trail

Terry was in bourbon heaven visiting the destilleries along the bourbon trail.  He should have his own barrel dedicated to him at Jim Beam as he's purchased enough in his lifetime.

We had a good time taking a tour through Makers Mark and learning the process of bourbon.  They encouraged you to taste each vat as it fermented and Terry decided he liked the finished product better.

The highlight of my tour was getting to dip and personalize a bottle myself.  If anyone is thinking of visiting this area there's an ambassador program through their website where you can have a barrel named for you and they keep you posted on the progress as it goes through the process during the 6 years and you are invited back when it's ready to purchase 2 bottles from it if you like.  I wish I'd have known this before visiting but have signed up since.

Trip to North Carolina to Pick Up the New Coach

I started my blog when we purchased our first motorhome    2 years ago and have failed to keep it up which I regret as we've been to so many wonderful places and met new friends along with old friends that have visited us along the way.  Terry has found out that mixing travelling and an Ipad can be dangerous as I have alot of time to shop.  We had talked about upgrading the coach since we've started going to Florida for the winter so I went to work while I had Terry in the buying mood and found just what we wanted in North Carolina and a deal was made!!  Off we go and traded in our old coach to pick up our new one which I LOVE!  We had a beautiful trip down and on our way home travelled the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

Here is our new coach which is a Tiffin Allegro Bus 43' which has 1.5 baths, full-size W/D, and so much more!!
